Posture -
You’ve seen it many times. Left, right, left and then right again. And seldom anywhere down the middle. Perhaps your posture at address and during the swing is out of alignment or consistent. There is a lot to consider before each swing: distance, wind, level lie to name a few.
Learning the proper fundamentals that are necessary for each swing will go a long way to creating a consistent, more reliable swing.
The following tips will give you a better chance of hitting a more dependable shot, and help to reduce the left, right, left right shots that are adding unnecessary shots to your overall score.
Try These Golf Tips
- Take a stance with your feet just slightly wider (longer clubs) than shoulder width (shorter clubs)
- Your arms will be relaxed and in a comfortable straight position
- Holding the club at waist height
- Now lean forward from the hips
- Keep your back straight until the club makes contact with the ground
- Your body weight will naturally be slightly forward on the balls of your feet
